On September 4, 2024, the VIP Congress was organized for the third time by the Contact Group for Automation. Digitalization is a hot topic in the insurance industry, and the impressive AFAS Theater in Leusden was completely sold out, with over 700 insurance professionals in attendance.
Once again this year, our CTO, Dennie Van Den Biggelaar, gave a keynote speech in the main theater hall. He explained how Onesurance uses AI technology effectively to address the problem faced by all (large) intermediaries and underwriting agencies: an abundance of customers and a shortage of qualified staff.
Active Customer Management with AI simply means that Onesurance’s AI engine ensures that the right customer receives the right attention at the right time for the right product. This is done through advanced algorithms that continuously analyze data from back-office systems and provide actionable predictions to advisors in an Active Management Portal that they can use the next day.
The right customer is determined by a prediction of the Customer Lifetime Value, the right time depends on a prediction of the likelihood of cancellation, the right attention is determined by advanced personalization, and the right product comes from a Next Best Policy prediction, Dennie explained. The AI factor lies in the high accuracy of these predictions: it can predict with up to 90% certainty which high-value customers will cancel within 12 months. This is possible even with minimal policy data.
A large number of renowned intermediaries and underwriting agencies in the Netherlands and Belgium are now using Onesurance’s solutions, as they help improve targeted retention, increase sales (policy density), work towards fulfilling care obligations, make more effective use of advisors’ scarce time, and make their work more enjoyable.
